While I was at Foyle Film Festival in Derry, Northern Irland, I went to BBC radio studio for an interview in their morning program 9Line.
Two years ago I produced another one doc, Mumbai Masala, about India and Bollywood.
I recently watched Quintosole & was truly impressed. I found the cinematography of the prison grounds to be quite beautiful. It was extremely moving to see how this soccer league gave these men back a little of themselves, another identity, beyond "inmate." This film has allowed them to tell a part of their story, to let us know what it is like on the inside. I particularly liked Mario, the goalie, and his touching poetry. I highly recommend this film to anyone.
The director here, is very bright.
